Project Architect

Gienapp Architects is seeking a talented Project Architect to join our team. As Project Architect, you will be the staff member with primary responsibility for the execution of design and project documents. The ideal candidate will understand all of the project’s technical needs and elements, including architectural and mechanical building systems. Key Responsibilities

  • Take primary responsibility for a project’s design, detailing and technical attributes
  • Coordinate in-house design team
  • Produce or supervise the production of all drawings and specifications
  • Maintain daily contact with project team
  • Maintain project documentation and write meeting notes
  • Act as primary contributor to specification technical sections
  • Ensure all drawings and specifications conform to firm and professional standards
  • Collaborate with Project Manager on their responsibilities including:
    • Project schedule
    • Cost estimates and budget


  • Bachelor’s or Masters of Architecture, Registered Architect
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience on project teams
  • 10 years’ responsibility for drawing production
  • Ability with Revit and AutoCAD
  • Strong technical knowledge of building detail
  • Experience with masonry restoration and other envelope repair projects is desirable

Administrative/Marketing Assistant

Gienapp Architects is seeking an Administrative/Marketing Assistant. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic self-starter with a strong work ethic and excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be able to handle diverse tasks including confidential and time-sensitive matters. This position requires the ability to prioritize and follow through on numerous projects simultaneously. Excellent writing and copyediting skills are required. Must be highly proficient with MS Office. Experience with Adobe CS, especially InDesign, is highly desirable.

Key Administrative Responsibilities

  • Support principal and senior managers with administrative tasks (including occasional personal tasks)
  • Proofread and edit documents initiated or outlined by technical staff
  • Assist with maintaining records (virtually all electronic)
  • Limited amount of answering and routing telephone calls
  • General support of office such as ordering/purchasing supplies, meals, errands, etc.
  • Work on assignments that are complex in nature and require initiative to resolve problems and recommendation solutions
  • Maintain communication with principal and management to be aware of firm-wide activities

Key Marketing Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and collaborate with outside marketing consultants on social media, advertising, branding, marketing and business development
  • Take responsibility for compiling booklets of firm qualifications from existing materials to apply for new projects. This includes copyediting and composing text based on outlines provided by technical staff projects
  • Assist with creating both PowerPoint and hard copy presentation materials
  • Contribute to design and copywriting of marketing materials
  • Communicate with existing and potential clients to build relationships
  • Identify and/or apply for various industry awards
  • Maintain and adhere to marketing production calendar and deadlines
  • Manage and maintain various email lists and campaigns, including design templates, calls-to-action and content used in email sends
  • Maintain up-to-date staff resumes


  • Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications or related field
  • Experience in authoring materials for publication, ideally in marketing, communications or public relations
  • General administrative experience
